Tradeshow Necessities Series: Week 2 – Signage

Updated: Jul 16, 2020

Last week, we talked about using tables and backdrops to make a tradeshow space your own and really stand out. This week, we’re going to go one step further. We’re talking signage.

Signage may seem like a fundamental part of your tradeshow set up. But we’re going to show you a few ideas that you may not have thought of to really make the most of EVERY bit of space available. Don’t just stop at the basics. The guest experience isn’t contained within the 4 walls of the event space. There is so much unclaimed space outside of your booth – USE IT!!

Bowhead
This 15’ tear drop bowhead will stand out from other displays and catch attention from aisles away. This specific item is full-color and can ship in as little as 48 hours! Set this up inside using a scissor base or outside with a ground stake!!

Balloon Cluster Kit

A first step in making your event space really stand out and catch attention is getting your message across in a unique, fun way. A great way to do this is by using reusable balloon clusters. This reusable balloon cluster kit holds up to 5 custom, reusable balloons at once and makes a huge impact. Also consider a cloud-buster balloon kit which can be up to 8 feet tall! Like the bowhead, this can be used inside with a scissor base or outside with a ground stake.

Trash Can Covers

What’s the one thing almost every event attendee will need at some point during the tradeshow? A trash can. Normally, guests won’t think much about tossing their trash into one of the many conveniently placed trash cans throughout the event space. Make them stop and take a second look by placing a cover (like the one pictured) over each trash can. The trash can will go from unsightly or dull to prime space for your logo and company information. Plus, these are full-color, reusable and washable!

Car Hoodie

Most event planners will tell you the guest experience starts in the parking lot. Usually, they’re referring to available parking and the view of the building, but we’re talking about what your car is telling guests. Using a car hoodie on a strategically parked car is a great way to catch attention and get your message out there before guests even get inside the tradeshow.

Dancing Inflatable

Have you ever driven past a store that has these dancing inflatables? They catch your attention and remind you of the store each time you drive past them. Why not use them at a tradeshow? Put this outside (or inside if the ceiling is high enough!) and continue the momentum you’ve already set up with your car hoodie! The movement will capture attention much more easily than an immobile sign. Plus, they’re just plain fun!

There are so many ways to catch guests’ attention and stand out at a tradeshow. Instead of sticking with the basics, why not opt for the non-traditional and more unique items and signs to get your message across and attract people to your booth. Let us help you get people to your booth so you can focus on what you’ll say when they’re there. Visit www.imaginationbranding.com for more ideas and to get a quote.

Next week, we’ll cover tradeshow giveaways. If you’d like to receive a notification when that post is available, subscribe to our blog, or connect with us on social media. (We are on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Pinterest and Google+! We’d love to connect with you!)
